BURLINGTON — The Zoning Board of Appeals approved a Game Show Battle Rooms sign permit and continued two variance hearings. The board unanimously approved a special sign permit for an illuminated exterior wall sign, 2 feet tall by 32 feet 7 inches wide, for Game Show Battle Rooms at Burlington Mall's northwest side. Chick-Fil-A and Crosspoint Associates requested a setback variance at 2 Wall Street for a drive-through canopy.
The applicant proposed a 5,000-square-foot building, down from the existing 12,000-square-foot structure, citing topography and zoning constraints. DiBona said the board would request conservation and planning input before continuing to May 5. Homeowner Dan Carmody's garage variance request at 5 Phyllis Avenue was continued to May 19, with board concerns about trees and neighborhood density.
