BURLINGTON — Board of Health approved a 70-well geothermal system for Fox Hill Elementary and Chick-fil-A restaurant plans. The Board voted unanimously to permit the geothermal wells at 252 Fox Hill Road, with drilling starting mid-July for approximately six to seven weeks; Environmental Engineer Christine Mathis confirmed the system uses food-grade solution and includes leak detection safeguards, and abutters expressed noise concerns that will be addressed with a noise barrier. The Board also voted 5-0 to approve the 4,800-square-foot Chick-fil-A with a double drive-thru at 2 Wall Street, replacing two existing restaurants, with nine conditions including grease trap sizing confirmed by Health Agent Marlene Johnson and environmental improvements such as enhanced landscaping and a new drainage system.
