BURLINGTON — Capital Budget backs $275K in Fire equipment, rejects Conservation hazard fund. The committee voted 6-0-0 to approve $94,000 for a command vehicle replacement and $181,000 for cardiac monitor replacements, which are nearing end-of-life and lack current technology. The panel voted 4-2 to support a $40,000 Conservation Land Acquisition and Management Program but rejected a $50,000 Hazard Mitigation Program 2-4, with dissenters citing the need for a single municipal point of contact for tree service contractors.
