Capital Budget Committee adopts five-year planning framework
Capital Budget Committee · Meeting of March 10, 2026
BURLINGTON — Capital Budget Committee shifts to five-year planning model. The committee, chaired by Mark Woods, met with Assistant Town Administrator Patrick Lawlor to review FY27 capital budget requests and implement a revised forecasting process. The town is replacing its prior ten-year capital budget spreadsheet with a five-year projection model requiring departments to provide more detailed information to better inform Town Meeting members and plan for capital outlays.
The town intends to use the new framework to develop a more sustainable capital plan through improved collaboration among departments in identifying needs and ranking priorities.
