Capital Budget Committee approves $660,000 in capital projects

BURLINGTON — Capital Budget Committee approves $660,000 in park and recreation projects. The committee unanimously endorsed six capital projects from Parks and Recreation Director Brendan Egan, including $200,000 for athletic field improvements and $200,000 for Simonds Park playground renovation design. The panel also backed a $100,000 Historical Commission storage shed request by a 4-1 vote, though the commission later estimated actual cost at approximately $65,000.

All Parks and Recreation requests passed with either unanimous or near-unanimous support.
