BURLINGTON — The Burlington Council on Aging approved its Director's Report unanimously, authorizing a new Assistant Director position effective January 1, 2027, to oversee programs and community outreach. Director Marge Yetman reported that the council's minibus project is in final stages pending decal completion, and backup driver Dave Madigan has completed training. The council approved fourteen Elderly and Disabled Fund applications, each awarding a 400 dollar tax bill reduction.
New initiatives include a Red Sox discussion group launching in Thursdays starting in April, reorganized Tuesday and Thursday walking groups, and a volunteer sign-up board to reduce coordination confusion.
