Burlington Government Review Committee advances charter language sections. The nine-member committee voted February 24 to advance four sections of a proposed town charter focusing on Town Administrator qualifications, bonding, and appointment authority. Section 3-1 passed 8 to 1, Section 3-2 and 3-4(d) passed unanimously, and Section 3-4(c) passed 8 to 1 with one abstention.

The committee tabled Section 3-4(e) on Human Resources Policy pending clarification on whether it applies to school staff. The Survey Sub-Committee unanimously approved Collins Center UMass to conduct a town survey with a kick-off meeting March 5 at 5 p.m.
