Historical Commission schedules tours and events for Burlington 250th

BURLINGTON — Historical Commission plans extensive programming for Burlington's 250th celebration scheduled for August 8th. The commission approved museum Saturdays on June 13, July 11, August 8, and September 12, and scheduled two trolleys to offer four tours during Burlington Day, with the museum and Francis Wyman house open all day. Celebratory pins will be available by August 8th, with an invoice to the Select Board.
The commission proposed a time capsule to collect items during the celebration, with details to be discussed with the Select Board. Commissioner Peter Coppola will meet with the Town Manager to discuss next steps after a new shed funding request was voted down at town meeting.
