Human Services Committee approves prior minutes, plans outreach
Human Services Committee · Meeting of March 19, 2026
Burlington Human Services Committee approves prior minutes, advances communications and staffing plans. The three-member committee — Carl Foss, Shayan Bhattacherya, and Cindy Phillips — unanimously approved February minutes and discussed a $1,432 communications initiative involving 500 magnets and envelopes for distribution at municipal offices, pending verification of funding authority by March 27. The committee is pursuing reclassification of the Human Services Coordinator position to the Burlington Youth and Family Services department with a related part-time role at the Council on Aging.
Members will expand outreach to immigrant communities through School Committee coordination and engagement with local faith organizations, with Jim Tigges reporting the town has not yet billed any assisted living facilities.
