ISSAC explores cybersecurity role in Human Resources practices

Burlington's security advisory committee explores the HR role in cybersecurity preparedness and training. The Information Systems Security Advisory Committee met with Reginald Nichols, Burlington's Director of Human Resources, and Joanne Faust, HR Director for the schools, to discuss cybersecurity awareness training initiatives. Both directors reported improved employee participation in annual training.

The committee discussed developing a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plan with the town and noted emerging threats from artificial intelligence and post-quantum cryptography.
