Library Trustees Approve Amended Facilities Budget

Burlington library trustees approve FY27 Facilities budget increase, report strong December programming. The board unanimously approved an amended FY27 Facilities budget raising the allocation to $102,440 from $100,663, a 1.77 percent increase from the Town Facilities Department. Library Director Mike Wick reported robust December programming with approximately 400 attendees, including the Local Author Festival with more than 20 local authors and the annual Noon Year's Eve celebration with 149 attendees.
Children's programming surged with more than 150 additional attendees compared to the previous December, and the board accepted a $1,000 donation from patron Lia Rix for the Children's Department.
