Carol Tolonen, 81, of Burlington and formerly of Wilmington, died Tuesday, September 8, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Paul Hannigan and Dorothy (Hannigan) Selig, and was raised and educated in Burlington, graduating from Burlington High School. She is survived by her siblings, David Hannigan of Florida, Sharon Alessandroni and Mark Selig of Tennessee. Service details were not listed in the obituary. He was the husband of Irene (Paiva) Laghetto, with whom he shared more than 65 years of marriage.
