Planning Board approves Dunkin Donuts ownership change; debates MBTA zoning amendment

Planning Board · Meeting of January 15, 2026

BURLINGTON — Planning Board approves Dunkin Donuts change of ownership under new operator. The board voted 6-0-0 to grant special permits to Winn Street Donuts LLC for the restaurant and drive-through facility at 28 Winn Street, with Assistant Planning Director Caleb Zimmerman reporting no traffic safety concerns based on Burlington Police data. In a separate 5-1-0 vote, Vice Chair Barbara L'Heureux dissenting, the board required that an additional lot in the Patricia Way Definitive Subdivision proceed as an Engineering Change rather than a full amendment.

The Gutierrez Company's mixed-use development proposal for 300 Summit Drive was continued to February 5, with Vice Chair L'Heureux, Member Jeremy Harrington, and Member Gregory Ryan assigned to a subcommittee to review density, traffic, parking, and ownership structure.
