BURLINGTON — Planning Board approves Marshall Simonds synthetic fields project with 5-1 vote. Vice Chair Barbara L'Heureux dissented on the minor engineering change for 114 Winn Street, which installs two turf fields with Conservation Commission-mandated rain gardens and LED lighting capped at 9 p.m. shutdown. Two restaurants won unanimous approval: Citrus & Salt, a 240-seat Baja-Mexican establishment at 19 Third Avenue, and Waffle & Bagel, a zero-seat counter-service operation at the Burlington Mall's former Johnny Rockets space.
The board continued Foxboro Learning LLC's 11,000-square-foot daycare proposal to March 5 after abutters on Cambridge Street and nearby roads raised alarms about a known gas plume, stormwater impacts from 25-foot fill, and past flooding in the neighborhood.
