Planning Board continues 85 Wilmington Road expansion hearing to May 7.

Planning Board · Meeting of April 16, 2026

Burlington Planning Board hears first presentation on 85 Wilmington Road expansion without deciding. Attorney Brian McGrail and Project Manager David Robinson presented a plan to add two buildings at Plaza 62, featuring family dining, ice cream service, and an indoor playground; the project meets parking ratios and setback requirements with no variances needed. More than 20 residents raised concerns about parking adequacy, traffic on Prouty Road, property maintenance, light pollution, and construction impacts, with concerns documented in a letter from Town Meeting Member Ryan Clement.

Planning Director Elizabeth Bonventre said the parking ratio remains under review, and Chair Brenda Rappaport ordered a site walk and traffic study before further consideration. The hearing was continued to May 7, 2026.
