Planning Board · Meeting of January 28, 2026
BURLINGTON — Planning Board subcommittee evaluates 0 Summit Drive zoning amendment for mixed-use housing. Applicant representatives presented a proposal for approximately 380 apartments and 46 for-sale housing units, citing an estimated 800,000 dollar annual net positive fiscal impact and traffic impacts below those of the previously approved laboratory use. Town Administrator John Danizio flagged water and sewer infrastructure capacity concerns and the feasibility of off-site improvements, while Planning Director Elizabeth Bonventre noted that MBTA Communities zoning requirements may mandate three-bedroom units.
Select Board member Sarah Cawley recommended the September Town Meeting over May to allow adequate review time, citing the scale of the proposal as potentially too significant for the compressed spring timeline.
