Public Arts Committee · Meeting of May 13, 2026

BURLINGTON — The Burlington Public Arts Committee addressed budget concerns and scheduled artwork initiatives at its May 13 meeting. Barbara L'Heureux will coordinate with town administration on a budget request for the September town meeting, while the committee tentatively set May 31, June 7, and June 14 for community mural painting. Members committed to promoting a June 7 fundraiser at Goodnight Johnny's and agreed to pursue painting a third electrical box on the common near the gazebo.

Jim Tigges will research approval requirements for sponsor recognition plaques on three new sculptures and share a painted trash can design concept with the committee.
