School Committee approves three health and wellness policies.

Burlington School Committee unanimously approves three updated health policies. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Lisa Chen presented Policy JJIF-R (Updated Concussion Procedures 2025), Policy JLCA (Physical Examinations and Screenings of Students), and Policy JLC (Student Health Services and Requirements) for second reading, all passing 5-0.

The committee also received a School Climate Survey showing strong favorability in safety and teaching but identifying gaps in parent involvement and support for minority students. Director of Operations Bob Cunha reported the Fox Hill School Building Committee voted to award a low bid to CTA contractor on a project running $10 million under the original budget, with construction expected to begin in Spring.
