Select Board · Meeting of July 13, 2026

Burlington Select Board approved three personnel appointments and renewed its municipal electricity aggregation agreement at a higher-than-current but Eversource-beating rate. James Tigges, Chairman, led unanimous votes on Police Recovery Coach Julie Hartling, Special Police Officer William Rymill Jr., and DPW Special Heavy Equipment Operator Rich Lembo. The board also unanimously approved the Lahey Clinic 5K road race for September 19 and one-day liquor licenses for the Economic Development Beer Gardens on four dates through September 24.

In a split 2-1 vote, the board approved an alteration of premises for Tavern in the Square, cautioning the applicant that construction should not begin before board approval and all filings must occur beforehand. The municipal aggregation contract, effective October 1, will cost more than the current rate but less than Eversource's August increase.
