BURLINGTON — Select Board approves DPW appointment and green-lights FY 2027 budgets unanimously. Michael Espejo's board voted 5-0 to hire Clovis Riberio as Special Motor Equipment Operator/Laborer for the Department of Public Works, effective March 16, 2026, after waiving the standard 15-day waiting period. The board also unanimously approved police details for the 2026 Burlington High School All Night Graduation Party (June 7, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) and a new all-alcohol general license for Gameshow Battle Rooms at 75 Middlesex Turnpike.
FY 2027 departmental budgets covering veterans services, disability access, technology, police, fire, and eight other functions passed unanimously; the ongoing police station project is tracking several million dollars below its original estimate.
