Select Board approves snow and ice spending increase, new general licenses

BURLINGTON — Select Board unanimously greenlights $800,000 snow and ice spending limit. Chairman Michael Espejo's five-member board increased the Department of Public Works' original request by $100,000 based on recent weather, and approved the appointment of Jean Perry to the Council on Aging from three qualified applicants recommended by Marge Yetman, Director of Council on Aging. The board also unanimously approved two new general licenses: Julianne's Bakery at 154 Cambridge Street and Qdoba at 43 Middlesex Turnpike, along with a revision to DPW Rules and Regulations extending the street opening moratorium to March 1st.
