Subcommittee plans survey to gauge resident views on town government

Government Review Committee · Meeting of March 3, 2026

Burlington's government review subcommittee launches resident survey planning for May. Led by Stephanie Lessing of the Collins Center, the group approved survey topics addressing town structure, leadership effectiveness, communications, and board term limits, with translation into Spanish and an Indian language. The first draft is due March 18 for the subcommittee's March 25 review meeting.

Survey launch is targeted for May 1, with finalization by April 20, and will segment responses by residency length, voter participation, and demographics including race, gender, and housing status.
