BURLINGTON — Planning Board subcommittee reviews proposed mixed-use development at 0 Summit Drive with estimated ten million dollar fiscal benefit. The Gutierrez Company presented financial projections for a project including 46 for-sale units and enhanced pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure along the Middlesex Turnpike. Planning Board Member Barbara L'Heureux expressed concern about eliminating future commercial uses and noted the housing type does not align with the Town's identified middle-housing needs.
Select Board Member Sarah Cawley stated the proposal requires refinement before Town Meeting consideration, citing water and infrastructure capacity concerns. The subcommittee scheduled its next meeting for February 25 to continue discussion while addressing environmental and infrastructure review matters.
