Ways and Means panel approves two Town Hall budgets for FY27

BURLINGTON — Ways and Means Town Hall 1 panel backs two FY27 departmental budgets. The Treasurer/Collector's $814,202 budget, a 0.56 percent increase, will eliminate a Collections Specialist position while consolidating duties and outsourcing parking and handicap processing. The Assessor's $537,598 budget, up 8.31 percent, reflects a one-time Patriot software license upgrade after field testing.

Both votes passed 2-0-0 before the subcommittee adjourned at 8:45 a.m.
