Zoning Bylaw Review Committee · Meeting of July 29, 2026

Burlington's Zoning Bylaws and Review Committee voted to continue discussion of a proposed wall art bylaw definition for the September warrant after the Planning Board withdrew the article without prejudice. Chair Alex Rutfield's committee approved prior meeting minutes 5-1-0 with amendments and heard from Planning Director Liz Bonventre that Burlington's Cultural Council directs all state funding to school art programs. The panel also discussed data center regulation, noting that units under 50,000 square feet require special permits and are banned in residential areas but allowed by permit in commercial zones.

The committee cancelled an August 12 meeting, with the next session set for Wednesday, September 9.
