Burlington zoning board upholds order against Prouty Road Swimply pool rental. The Zoning Board of Appeals voted 5-0, with the chairman recusing himself, to uphold a May 26 building inspector's order against homeowners Daniella Morganelli and Patrick Boston, who had appealed through attorney John McDermott. Morganelli testified the rentals earned about $11,000 last year and averaged $168 a booking.
Board member Mark Burke told her, "That's a business, correct?" while neighbor Stephanie Bernard said "clearly profit is more important." The board received seven letters supporting the appeal and one opposing it. In unrelated business, the board approved a 12.6-foot setback variance at 9 Mooney Road, signage for Sunflower Pizza at One Wheeler Road, a garage variance at 25 Skilton Lane, and a wall sign at 52-54 Third Avenue.
