Burlington Audit Committee confirms clean audit and strong financial position. Rebecca Gamsby of CBIZ CPAs presented the town's annual comprehensive financial report to the committee, reporting that the town received an unmodified audit opinion. The committee confirmed a Stabilization Fund balance of $11.8 million.

The audit team continues to focus on cash reconciliation, receivables reconciliation, fixed assets, and budget control. The most significant accounting change this year is implementation of GASB 101 related to compensated absences, with the town's pension and OPEB net positions remaining on track.
