Building Committee Clears Invoices, Amendments Before Saturday's High School Vote

BURLINGTON — November 13, 2025 — Burlington's High School Building Committee approved two vendor invoices and two contract amendments at its November 13 meeting, finishing the project's $1.5 million feasibility phase with $28,362.84 in savings, two days before a special election on whether to fund a new Burlington High School. Chair Katherine Bond and the four other School Committee members voted 5-0 on all four items, including an $18,000 invoice to owner's project manager Doran Whittier and a $4,934.03 bill to Lithocraft for printing and mailing a voter information postcard. TAPA Amendment 003 credited $27,280 in unused extra-services funds back to the project budget. Project staff told the committee that if Saturday's vote succeeds, the design and construction teams will "be going to work Monday morning," with TAPA planning to re-engage outside engineers and complete site investigations, and the next committee meeting set for December 11.
