Burlington School Committee Approves Fox Hill Invoices Totaling Over $391,000

BURLINGTON — April 8, 2025 — Burlington School Committee unanimously approved more than $391,000 in Fox Hill School project invoices and a contract amendment at its April 8 meeting. Chair Katherine Bond presided as the committee voted 10-0 on four Donisco professional-services invoices — including $356,444 for construction documents — and a separate $22,730 Doran Whittier design development invoice, along with a 9-0 vote on Doran Whittier Amendment Number 6 for $31,900 in design development estimating. The committee also approved Budget Revision Number 2, which reshuffles funds among line items without touching project contingency reserves. Design consultants presented a "walk in the woods" interior graphics concept for the new building organized around four circulation nodes, with a committee member calling for inclusion of Burlington's 250-acre Landlocked Forest alongside already-planned references to Mill Pond and Sawmill Brook. The project's 60 percent construction document set is due to the MSBA in July, with Conservation Commission and Planning Board hearings set for April 24 and May 15, respectively.
