School Committee · Meeting of July 21, 2026

BURLINGTON — The Fox Hill School Building Committee approved roughly $3.5 million in invoices and change orders and put off a cafeteria dishwasher decision until August. Members voted 8-0 on CTA's June payment application of $3,305,602.28 and an $41,795.49 change order covering sprinkler heads and underground piping work. A project team member said the MSBA has reimbursed Burlington "a little over $4 million" to date, and a new bid amendment trims the state's maximum grant by just under $200,000 while cutting the total project budget by about $5.5 million.

Members Melissa, Chris and Jeremy pushed to delay finalizing dishwashing equipment, with Chris saying "I don't want to close the door on being able to have reusable trays," pending a cost comparison and a School Committee discussion set for August 18. CTA's Lyle Coughlin said a month's delay would not significantly affect the construction schedule.
