Burlington's Planning Board approved a special permit for a new veterinary urgent care clinic and continued three Chick-fil-A-related hearings to November 5. The board voted 6-0 to let Valiant Veterinary Partners take over the former PetMedic space at 112 Burlington Mall Road, with Dr. Christina Valiant and Dr.
Nir Benari citing weekday hours of 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Eversource also briefed the board on a proposed 115-kilovolt substation off Wind Street, which would serve 75,000 customers and require roughly ten miles of distribution work town-wide. Member Jeremy Harrington pressed the utility for "a commitment... that you are going to remove the double poles, many of which have been there for a decade or longer," and Eversource agreed to work on a removal plan.
The company expects to file with the state's Energy Facility Siting Board by the end of December, launching a 15-month review.
