BURLINGTON — December 11, 2025 — Burlington's Conservation Commission approved a full slate of permits and enforcement actions at its December 11 meeting, issuing two certificates of compliance and an order of conditions for a new accessory dwelling unit addition. The board closed out 6 Dublin Circle (DEP 122-697) for applicant Ramesh Parwani, releasing $1,500 of a $2,500 bond while retaining $1,000 pending two full growing seasons for newly planted trees, and fully released a $2,500 bond for 1A Highland Way applicant Mark Morocco after Conservation Administrator Eileen Coleman and Associate Conservation Administrator Lucy Hansen reported both sites were stable and built as designed. The commission also voted 5-0 to issue an order of conditions for 33 Fairfax Street, where applicant Geraldine Wilson proposes a 900-square-foot addition, deck, and porch within the locally regulated 200-foot riverfront area of Sandy Brook, setting a $1,500 performance bond and requiring five native shrubs and a written alternatives analysis — establishing what Chair Larry Cohen called a working precedent for ADU-scale projects. At 171 Cambridge Street, the board directed a commercial property owner to remove trash and a discarded 275-gallon fuel oil tank from a wetland buffer, closing an enforcement action that had run for more than 14 months.
