BURLINGTON — The Fox Hill School Building Committee voted 7-0 to approve roughly $1.76 million in contractor payments and heard that steel erection has begun weeks ahead of schedule. Members approved Change Order No. 1 for $1,412.47, four Danisco invoices totaling a net $78,999.50, a $90,154.10 Doran Whittier invoice, and CTA Payment Application No. 3 for $1,586,216.56 covering May construction work. Project representative Andrea told the board the estimated total state grant is around $30 million, with $2.9 million and $1.98 million already reimbursed.

"You have a building coming out of the ground as of Monday," Andrea said, noting steel erection, originally slated for July 22, started early. Members discussed a possible September beam-signing ceremony for students.
