BURLINGTON — The Fox Hill School Building Committee and School Committee voted 8-0 to approve more than $3.1 million in construction invoices and amendments for the new Fox Hill Elementary School. Approved items included a $2,818,227.67 CTA payment application, a $52,000 amendment for mural artist Josh Weiner, and a budget revision cutting the owner's contingency account from $463,259 to $423,995. A committee member identified as Megan pressed for the playground vendor decision to go on the next agenda, saying the panel should "make a decision as quickly as possible to try to save money any way we can," after another member flagged an approximately $185,000 cost gap between the two vendors under consideration.

The committee also confirmed a steel topping off ceremony for September 2, when students will sign the project's final structural beam before it is hoisted into place.
