BURLINGTON — The Burlington Select Board voted 3-0-0 to amend a one-day liquor license hours before a charity fundraiser began. Chairman James Tigges, Vice-Chairman Sarah Cawley and Member Michael Espejo approved adding vendor Watertown Whiskey to People Helping People's "Pours for a Purpose" event at Grandview Farms after the vendor submitted an updated certificate of insurance. Board members Elizabeth Trowbridge and Kim Traynor, representing the nonprofit, said the vendor's insurer had changed after the original June 8 application was filed.
Cawley said she supported the request but told organizers, "I just don't want this to be a pattern for the future," urging them to list potential vendors earlier next time. The board also approved adjournment 3-0-0 at 3:05 p.m.
