BURLINGTON — The Burlington Planning Board voted to continue a packed hearing on the Plaza 62 expansion to May 7. Chair Brenda Rappaport said "no decisions will be made this evening" as attorney Brian McGrail outlined plans to add 17,044 square feet to the 85 Wilmington Road plaza, bringing it to 36,850 square feet with 117 parking spaces. More than two dozen residents objected, citing trash, rats, potholes and crashes at the Prouty-Wilmington intersection; Paul Ackford said "this area can't absorb this size of development." Planning Director Elizabeth Bonventre confirmed abutters within 300 feet were notified by certified mail.
The board, voting 7-0, also accepted the Gutierrez Company's withdrawal without prejudice of two MBTA Communities overlay zoning petitions.
