Burlington Select Board approved $27,570 in handicap parking fine revenue for disability programs. The board voted 5-0 to fund therapeutic horseback riding, a "Sneaker Prom," the iCan Bike program, adaptive park swings and parking-appeal processing. Town Administrator John Danizio said fines have grown to over $82,000 this fiscal year after a 2024-2025 increase from $200 to $300 per ticket; Member Nicholas Priest said "we can take $27,570 and we can reallocate it to provide access for people to do things they normally cannot do." The board also approved police and fire promotions for Kevin Steere, Preston Angelucci and Todd Ficociello, approved the James Gang's third annual 5K for September 27, and continued Eggholic's liquor license hearing to June 8.
