Ways and Means Committee unanimously approves $6.77M in departmental budgets

BURLINGTON — Ways and Means Committee approves $6.77M in nine departmental budgets unanimously. The committee voted 13-0 on all items, including recreation at $2,486,331 (4.47 percent increase for Marshall Simonds Middle School field lights), library at $2,095,212, and town clerk at $573,353 (14.32 percent increase due to election year). The board of health budget of $901,650 was approved alongside mosquito control and hazardous waste accounts.
Library trust receives $65,000 in annual state aid.
